Every day, our 125,000 employees work to improve the quality of daily life for our clients and customers all over the U.S. Position Summary: Duties/Responsibilities: Programming and application development using industry standard Web technologies that support business objectives and priorities. Maintains and implements enhancements to department systems according to IST standards, including software and tools. Provides input into the effective uses of information systems services resources and technologies. Assists management team in creating technical architecture of Client Server and Web systems. Assists management team in development and assessment of new system initiatives. Evaluates for adequacy, and updates or alters existing business systems/databases to meet current business requirements or to correct existing or potential problems. Debugs and tests new or modified programs Lead software engineering support of current platforms. Translate broad organizational product goals into concrete implementation that accomplishes required functions. Define, document, and communicate technical requirements for current and next generation systems. Implement software development life cycle practices, including requirements analysis, project management, release engineering, configuration management, and problem tracking and resolution. Research problems discovered through quality analysis and develop solutions to the problems. Must be familiar with system's scope and project's objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Regularly monitor progress, issues and risks associated with system and application enhancements. Adhere to established inter-company service level agreements associated with department initiatives. Ability to troubleshoot application performance and activity. Takes initiative with energy to go beyond minimum requirements of effort and activity. Adaptive to changing business needs and the ability to work in a variety of different business situations. Minimum Education/Experience Required: B.A. or B.S. in MIS, Computer Science or related field/discipline. 6 or more years Information Technology related experience. 3 or more years of information technology project management experience. Knowledge and understanding of application development methodologies, technologies, and processes. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft programming (SQL .NET, Visual Basic).
